Summer 2026
ACES Terrier

In this Issue
Welcome to the 2026 Summer Terrier.
Another issue hot off the press – ‘hot’ being an appropriate term, although of course it might not be by the time you read this. On the positive side, I won’t have to be spending all my time watering flagging plants!
I’m pleased to report that this issue includes more than a few articles which have arisen from presentations made to branches. I always encourage branch secretaries to ask their speakers at events if they would like to write for ACES Terrier. You know what is of interest to your colleagues, so the topics are very likely to be of value to the wider membership. And it introduces new contributors, so my thanks go to you all for cajoling presenters. As a consequence, there are a raft of professional topics. I won’t list them all here – take a dip into the contents.
The splendid cover shows one of the venues for ACES National Conference, to be held in sunny Southend-on-Sea in September 2026. An outline of the one-day conference can be found in the flyer inside, with full details on ACES website. The President, Alan Richards, and his team are working very hard to put together a full programme, and Marcus Perry has organised what looks to be a fantastic social programme for partners and retired members (and the Editor?).
Again, there are a few pieces which I hope are of interest to ACES’ growing cohort of FACES members.
Minutes of ACES Council meetings can now be found in the Members Only area of ACES website.
